Very sad news comes from Tryon, Box Qutie (SWB born 2006 by Quite Easy out of Lady Like KLT by Little Boy-Amore xx, breeder Therese Örup) was euthanized today due to complications from an injury sustained during the cross country phase at the World Equestrian Games.
A statement from the FEI explained, “Initially the mare was improving, but despite receiving the best veterinary care, her condition worsened yesterday due to circulatory complications. As a result, the horse’s owner, Therese Örup, together with the athlete, groom and veterinarians, elected for euthanasia today.”
Anna Freskgård (SWE) and Box Qutie won CIC*** in Strzegom, Poland in april this year.
Box Qutie has competed internationally since 2013 and was the Swedish Warmblood who earned the most prize money in eventing so far this year (source Horse Telex).
Box Qutie left one offspring - Box Leo (SWB born 2010 by Jaguar Mail) placed in CIC** 2017.

Approved stallion Warsteiner 946 (SWB born 1993 by Weltmeyer out f Fräulin (63) 21069 by Romandour II-Flamingo, breeder Birgitta Andersson) owned by Forsström family, Hippo Essentia AB has passed away.
Warsteiner 946 got 10-9-8-8-8 for conformation and 8-8-8 for gaits as 4-year old. He got 10-9 by the test riders. Warsteiner 946 placed 6th in the Youngster Tour Challenge Cup for 4-year olds in Wiesbaden, Germany.
He left the approved stallion Wasabi 9069, Weihenstephaner, international S-level dressage, Walkman, international S-level dressage, Arras, S-level dressage, Phewe, S-level dressage, Winton S-level dressage, Vilma Rudolph, S-level dressage and Chawa, S-level showjumping.

The 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA
Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Bianca (SWB born 2006 by Balou de Rouet out of Coco (34) 27114 by Cardento-Maraton, breeder Skattagård AB) jumped a clear round in 1.55, the first competition against the clock and won!

Sara Algotsson-Ostholt (SWE) and Wega (SWB born 2001 by Irco Mena out of La Fair 25359 by Labrador-Prince Fair xx, breeder Margareta Algotsson) placed 5th and got 74.138% (= 25.9) in the eventing dressage test but did not start in the cross country test.
