Fourteen European based dressage riders boarded planes in Frankfurt and Brussels today to fly to Doha, Qatar to compete at the invitation only 2013 Al Shaqab CDI 4* on 29 - 31 March 2013. Their horses were shipped in a cargo plane from Amsterdam to the Middle East on Monday 25 March 2013.
Among them is Patrik Kittels Toy Story (ex Condor, SWB born 2000 by Come Back II out of Cessna (46) by Concorde-Kaliber, breeder Marie and Olle Bjernick).

Robert Dover and the Swedish Warmblood stallion Juvel 9024 (SWB born 1977 by Flamingo out of Ciba (41) 9511 by Utrillo-Afgahn) in a show in Washington 1988 for promotion of the freestyle dressage. Juvel was reserv horse of the 1988 US Olympic team and won a silver medal at Pan American Games 1991.

Mattias Jansson (SWE) and Brisbane 1081 (SWB by Briar out of Terra Nova (F2) 23042 by Amiral-Idealist, breeder Anders Larsson family) won both Grand Prix Special with 72.014% and Grand Prix with 69.858%. Rose Mathisen (SWE) and Bocelli 1044 (SWB born 1999 by Don Schufro out of Ballerina 24034 by Bernstein-Toe Hold xx, breeder Gränsbo Stuteri) placed 2d in both Grand Prix Special with 69.375% and in Grand Prix with 68.475%.

The Swedish Grand Prix dressage stallion Briar has been accepted for the KWPN studbook.
Briar fulfilled the veterinary requirements and his collection of offspring was of a good enough quality for Stallion Inspection Committee. Briar has been accepted on the same basis such as "foreign" stallions Darco, Quidam de Revel, Narcos II and Biotop.
